"You know you are going crazy in your country when:

1. You can't understand why we're paying our leaders more when under their administration, our income gap has grown so much.
2. You're beginning to suspect that National Education might actually be propaganda in disguise.
3. When you speak to foreigners, you feel the need to change your entire accent and speech pattern.
4. You're not sure why, but somehow you're just not entertained by MediaCock productions.
5. You can't put your finger on it, but you're not convinced that our education system is truly meritocratic.
6. You keep putting your money into a retirement fund where they keep extending your withdrawal age.
7. Somehow, you have this funny feeling the State's Times is not entirely impartial in reporting Singapore events.
8. You'd rather drink filtered urine than pay someone more for supplying your water.
9. You will line up round the block for plastic toy kittens.
10. You'll blow $100,000 on a car, but will go to great lengths to save a few bucks on ERP charges or even a few cents on a parking coupon.
11. You don't entirely believe that being able to put up satirical blogs, podcasts or cabaret shows is actually enough to compensate for not having a real political voice.
12. You keep thinking about the impossibilities of living in the City of Possibilities.
13. You keep hearing voices from strange men dressed in white telling you what to do.
14. Have you seen the people you voted into Parliament? Of course you're going mad!
15. Worse, you don't remember actually voting them in.
16. Even worse, you just accept it. "
