Movie Review: Lust ，Caution

I like this movie. Tang Wei had this innocence about her that is so unlikely of a spy seductress. I guess thats why Tony Leung fell for her in the movie because she is like a little girl in a woman's body. The highlights of the movie were the sex scenes, and they did not dissapoint , for they were ultra realistic. Lee Ang provided a comfortable tempo throughout , and chemistry between Tang Wei and Tony Leung was intense. You can see that they were attracted to each other but yet still playing hard to get with each other. Lee Ang did something different the first time when Tang Wei and Tony Leung did it. It wasnt a lovely dovey scene with slow kissing and foreplay. In fact Tony Leung was rough and almost to a extent of using violence and force himself on her. Tang Wei was resistant at first but slowly learnt to let go and enjoy the feeling of being in the hands of a Tony Leung, whose character was a big boss in his own right. Lee Ang managed to achieve the sense of excitement and intensity of a spy thriller without resorting to much violence. He is truly one of the masters of his time and he is doing the Chinese people proud. Thumbs Up!
