Movie review: The Pianist

Caught The Pianist on DVD the other day. Was quite disappointed. The whole show revolved around a Jewish Pianist trying to escape the Russians during the War. The storyline was flat and the director tried to create shock and disbelief by the Russians killing the Jews at point blank range and dead bodies everywhere on the streets. Basically Adrian Brody was walking around the city everywhere to find food to eat, and along the way he saw a lot of killings. Roman Polanski also had Adrian Brody eat all sorts of nonsense just to survive hunger. I fail to see the art in the movie.
