Somewhere in my mind

Found another poem I wrote when I was in school.
Somewhere in my mind

I still hold dear the image of you
Holding an umbrella over my soaking head
Waiting patiently as I limped along
Rippling the concentric puddles of water of rainwater
The memory of your gentle smile
As you watched me strumming the guitar
With foreign fingers
The sound of your slow sad voice
As you sit with your head bowed
These memories I take out
With the greatest pain and joy
I shall hold them close to me
And let them be binded by a knot
I shall send them to you
In a sailing ship just like the ones we used to watch

Along with all my heart
